Spatially-resolved Infrared Spectrometer
The SpIRS (Spatially-resolved Infrared Spectrometer) is a fast-scanning interferometer modulator equipped with field imaging optics, designed specifically for hyperspectral applications. Built on Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) technology, the SpIRS simultaneously acquires data on two 8×8 infrared detector arrays at a full frame rate of 45 frames per second at 16 cm⁻¹ spectral resolution. Covering an ultra-wide spectral bandwidth from the SWIR through MWIR to LWIR (1.47 – 12.2 µm) using interchangeable cooled detector modules, the SpIRS delivers precise, spatially-resolved spectral data for demanding infrared signature, defense, and remote sensing applications.
Key Features
---
• High spectral resolution — down to 1 cm⁻¹ for detailed spectral analysis across SWIR, MWIR, and LWIR bands
• Ultra-wide spectral bandwidth — 1.47 – 12.2 µm continuous coverage with interchangeable cooled detector modules (SLS, InSb)
• Simultaneous dual-detector acquisition — supports up to 2 focal plane array (FPA) modules at the same time
• High temporal resolution — up to 45 data cubes per second at 16 cm⁻¹ spectral resolution
• Multiple FOV configurations — wide, medium (2x telescope), and narrow (6x telescope) field-of-view options for flexible deployment
