Hyper-Cam Airborne Mini

The Hyper-Cam Airborne Mini is a compact, lightweight FTIR hyperspectral imaging system designed for deployment on small aircraft and other compact aerial platforms without compromising measurement performance. Operating in the LWIR spectral range (7.4 – 11.8 µm), it combines high spatial, spectral, and temporal resolution in a modular two-unit design — an Optical Head (OH) with integrated image motion compensation mirror, boresighted visible camera, and GPS/INS+ platform, paired with a separate Control Box. Two operational modes — Mapping and Targeting — make it a versatile tool for ground target signature collection, mineral mapping, and gas detection and identification. The system produces orthorectified, geo-referenced infrared imagery that can be overlaid with mapping software for rapid field analysis.

Key Features
• Compact & lightweight — designed for small aircraft and compact aerial platforms with minimal SWaP
• Selectable spectral resolution — Fourier-transform imaging spectroscopy for precise gas and mineral analysis
• High spatial resolution — 750 µrad pixel field of view over a 13.5° × 10.9° total angular range
• High temporal resolution — fast acquisition for real-time gas detection and identification
• Extreme flexibility — Mapping and Targeting operational modes for diverse mission requirements
• Integrated optical head inclusions — image motion compensation mirror, boresighted visible camera, and GPS/INS+ platform
• Typical NESR <35 nW/(cm²·sr·cm⁻¹) — best sensitivity on the market for ppm-level gas detection
