FAST-IR Long Wave Cameras
The FAST-IR LWIR camera series from Telops represents the fastest long-wave infrared cameras available on the market. Built around cooled SLS (Strained Layer Superlattice) and MCT detector technology operating in the 7.5 – 11.5 µm spectral range, these cameras deliver outstanding thermal sensitivity, microsecond-level integration times, and frame rates from hundreds to tens of thousands of frames per second. Blackbody-free permanent radiometric calibration, automatic exposure control (AEC), and enhanced high-dynamic-range imaging (EHDRI) are standard across the series — making FAST-IR LWIR cameras the ideal choice for ballistics, combustion research, nondestructive testing, and any application where capturing rapid thermal events with scientific precision is critical.
Key Features
---
• Blackbody-free permanent calibration — no field recalibration required; optional calibration up to 2,500 °C
• Ultra-high frame rates — up to 1,012 Hz full frame and up to 40,000 Hz in subwindow mode
• Microsecond integration times — as short as 0.2 µs for blur-free capture of the fastest thermal events
• Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) & Enhanced High-Dynamic-Range Imaging (EHDRI) — standard across the series
• High-speed internal memory buffer — up to 16 GB onboard storage for extended burst recording
• Full synchronization suite — Trigger In/Out, IRIG-B, GPS, SDI, GigE & Camera Link, RS-232, and thermistor ports
